mostra másSome of my earliest memories of prime time TV are of the good old American sitcom. But there were some classic sitcoms that had long enough runs to cross over the decade line - from the 70s into the 80s.
All in the Family. The Jeffersons. Three's Company. Diff'rent Strokes. And so many more. Happy Days first hit the air the year was I was born, yet Richie and Fonzie were also a big part of my adolescence.
Many of these shows had long, long runs. Was it because they were really that good or just because there was less competition at the time? I think it was a litle of both since the very best of them hold up even today.
Not to mention the number of future A listers (in front of and behind the camera) that got their first taste of fame being cast in one of these shows - George Clooney, anyone?
If I can pull it off, I am going to try and bring back the phrase, "Kiss my grits"!
