Good evening! Lend me your ears! I want to talk to you today about a truth as solid as the earth beneath our feet—a truth that is in every heart, in every storm, in every struggle we face. Yea, life can be so hard. Life can be full of confusion ; storms can rage and winds can blow!

But in the midst of chaos, in the eye of the cyclone, there stands a refuge,—a place of unwavering stability. That place is what I call Solid Ground! Yes, Solid Ground! When the world throws its fiercest tempests at us, when troubles rise like waves crashing against the shore, we can find comfort in that steady place we know.

For some, it might be a loving family, a good friend, or community. But for me, and for many of you, that Solid Ground is none other than the eternal truth of our faith. When the storms of doubt threaten to sweep us away, we can cling to the promise that we are anchored, that we will not be moved, because we stand on the Solid Rock!

Oh, I can hear the sound of that radio song in my spirit—Storms can rage and winds can blow! But we know that we have a foundation that cannot be shaken—

You’re not standing on shifting sands. You’re standing on Solid Ground! With every breath, every heartbeat, know this—He is the only steady place we know! When life gets tough, lean into that stability! Lean into that love!

So as the storms may come, may your faith rise ever higher, and may you find your peace in the Solid Ground!
