We take a break from Noirvember for the latest film in the possibly dead Terminator franchise: Terminator: Dark Fate. A "true sequel" to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, it brings back Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 alongside new characters trying to thwart the rise of a new robotic enemy, all in an attempt to cash in on the recent success of soft reboots of popular franchises. While the film's first act is superb, it falls apart in the later acts and becomes the usual CGI mess in its bombastic finale. We talk about its controversial opening scene, where the franchise goes from here, and where it ranks in the canon.
Canadian director Matt Campagna joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Terminator: Dark Fate, Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the franchise, and so much more.
