I keep reading about how many peop e are sleepless. Very quickly they blame it on the current wave of energy created and caused by the Coronavirus. Which I totally grasp because there is a reason to be concerned. It's unknown. Everything about it from beginning to end and beyond is totally out of our nearest reach. But... As someone who has spent his entire life battling sleeplessness I have to ask if that's only a symptom to a deeper situation? Let me explain. I wake up every night near or around 12:30, 2:10, 3:45 and 4:50. I've struggled with this to the point of being angry and rushing off to the sleep doctor where they said, "Oh you need a CPAP!" Look I am no pro. See them first without having to fork out a ton of money on a breathing system that you'll use for a month then drop it. The times I wake are all connected to my years in radio. Everything past 2 am is associated to the morning show. 12:30 is connected to when I needed to be awake to write and produce radio commercials after my 7 to midnight shift. Once again consult a professional first. I'm just having a conversation. Are people not getting sleep because of a fear or doubt connected to Coronavirus or it connected to a lifestyle once lived due to a career or having a good time in clubs? I meditate and love those moments where I pop open my eyes and gently say to myself, "Hi guy! Lets do Nidra." It truly does help calm the moment by way of awareness. But know in your heart that meditation late late at night isn't sleep. Don't confuse the two. You still need to get sleep but Nidra helps clear the path for a peaceful walk rather than a war waiting in bed.
