While washing in the bathroom I utter these words, "Please Lord wash yesterday from my hands and face." I was doing this long before Covid-19. Eight months into this pandemic and I feel like a sandstone. More and more of us are being washed away and we're being introduced to shapes that we no longer recognize. We aren't blind. We can see ourselves in the mirror. We aren't living in silence. We can hear. We aren't in darkness. There are too many shadows. Breaking away from the news headlines is only temporary. For everything we are and have been in the centuries before us has been shaped by the news. It will always find a way to poison you.
