A small-town lawman with a smile for everyone and a sociopath underneath. We kick off Book to Screen April with Burt Kennedy's The Killer Inside Me, from the Jim Thompson novel. The physically imposing Stacy Keach plays deputy Lou Ford, straining to keep up his facade in small-town Montana as the world around him spins harder out of control, with Susan Tyrrell's Joyce and Tisha Sterling's Amy as the two women who will shape the outcome of his life, and theirs. We discuss how it compares to the book, the dreadful 2010 remake, and who else could have played Lou Ford.
Pulp Serenade's Cullen Gallagher and Mondo Heather's Heather Drain join Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Jim Thompson, Stacy Keach, Lou Ford, and so much more.
