Story Transcript:

Ca: Una llum groga com a mel banyava Barcelona, la ciutat on es va trobar Marta amb Laia i Guillem una tarda d'estiu. Les tres figures es movien a través del laberint de carrers, ombrívols per les façanes altes dels edificis antics, rients i conversant amb entusiasme.
En: A yellow light as sweet as honey bathed Barcelona, the city where Marta met Laia and Guillem one summer afternoon. The three figures moved through the labyrinth of streets, shaded by the tall facades of ancient buildings, laughing and conversing enthusiastically.

Ca: "Ho tenim tot preparat?", preguntà Marta, la mestra de l'escola local. Amb ulls brillants i una veu dolça, tenia un amor profund per l'ensenyament i la seva ciutat natal.
En: "Is everything prepared?" Marta asked, the local school teacher. With bright eyes and a sweet voice, she had a deep love for teaching and her hometown.

Ca: "Ho tenim!", exclamà Guillem. Era jove i confiat, joglà en les terres de l'anglès, amb la màniga de la seva samarreta plena de dibuixos a tinta de paraules angleses traduïdes al català.
En: "We're ready!" exclaimed Guillem. He was young and confident, skilled in the lands of English, with his shirt sleeve filled with ink drawings of English words translated into Catalan.

Ca: Laia només reia suau, el seu somriure és tranquil·litzador. Ella era l'artista d'aquests amics, capturant moment en tel·lats i murals, dibuixant les línies fines de Barcelona amb els seus pinzells.
En: Laia simply laughed softly, her smile reassuring. She was the artist of the group, capturing moments on canvas and murals, drawing the fine lines of Barcelona with her brushes.

Ca: El seu objectiu? Crear una lliçó visual per als turistes angloparlants que visitaven la seva ciutat, especialment per ajudar a entendre la diferència entre "si" i "sí" en català. Un repte que potser semblava senzill, però tenia la seva complicació per als que no coneixien el llenguatge.

Ca: "'Estàs d'acord?' ‘Sí’ responia l'amic," explicava l'altre costat, on Laia va dibuixar la mateixa parella, aquest cop amb l'amic acordant amb l'idea amb un somriure gran a la cara.
En: "‘Do you agree?’ ‘Sí’ replied the friend," explained the other side, where Laia drew the same couple, this time with the friend agreeing to the idea with a big smile on their face.

Ca: A mesura que el dia avançava, la multitud de turistes es va acostar, intrigada per les animacions festives. Ensenyaven, explicaven, reien. Un per un, els visitants van començar a entendre la diferència.
En: As the day progressed, a crowd of tourists approached, intrigued by the festive animations. They taught, explained, laughed. One by one, the visitors began to understand the difference.

Ca: Sota el sol d'estiu de Barcelona, tres amics van transformar la confusió en comprensió. Amb pedra, tinta i alegria, van demostrar que fins i tot les diferències més petites en la llengua poden ser conquerides amb la dedicació adequada.

Ca: I així, quan el sol es va fondre al darrere les verdes colines que encerclaven la ciutat, Marta, Laia i Guillem van saber que havien triomfat. La plaça estava plena de gent; persones que ara podien dir i saber la diferència entre "si" i "sí". Va ser un petit triomf, però el seu senzill acte d'amor cap a la seva llengua i ciutat serà recordat per sempre.
En: And so, as the sun melted behind the green hills that surrounded the city, Marta, Laia, and Guillem knew they had succeeded. The square was filled with people; individuals who could now say and know the difference between "si" and "sí". It was a small triumph, but their simple act of love towards their language and city will be remembered forever.
