That alone could swing the election.
Speaking of flip-flops, we talk about Kamala Harris’ reversals on economic policy, fracking, and particularly the Biden tax increase proposals. Harris wishes to hike capital gains tax to 33% rather than 44%— as Biden proposed. Is that smaller tax increase enough to calm centrist voters, worried that tax increases could tank the economy. In other words, can a smaller tax jump allay enough of the financial fears of suburban swing voters that they will feel comfortable casting their ballots for the Democrats?
