In the first Exodus, God showed the people various signs and miracles in order to demonstrate that He was working with Moses and was the source of their comfort. In the second Exouds, God used the miraculous to prove that Jesus was the Son of God, the apostles were true witnesses, and that a change really was taking place. 


This is an exciting lesson because it shows once more how the things prophesied about in the Old Testament would be fulfilled within the apostles' day - not two thousand years removed.
