Hey everybody.
Welcome to the studio. You know what, I'm I'm taking painkillers they've made me a little bit weird. I've got really bad um neck from too much time on the computer and I also started doing some electric cello practice and because I'm Tred to train myself to do it standing up and I I think I hurt my neck because you sort of look down you know so you're in that position and it's not dissimilar actually to when you're using your mobile phone and that's what I'm trying to get away from so I'm back to sitting down I think for a bit I mean it's great for videos that's a thing you know if you're standing up and you're wearing something utterly bloody fabulous you want to stand up don't you you want to you know walk down the road with your with your machine or some such thing not that I'm doing that even um but you know I'm thinking about the future anyway what have I done what have I done what have I done thinking about you today let me open up logic pro and we'll talk about what we did how did I make this fantastic ringtone okay so first of all 60s vocal chorus I'm planning tomorrow to do maybe a version of this or something very similar but actually with a 60s Vibe I was watching um a program what's it called heartbeat if you're in England you'll know about or Britain heartbeat it's set in the 60s and they these guys who sang had this really interesting finish on their vocals and I I can't quite grasp what it is so I'm going to have a look at that and what I might do tomorrow actually do you know what I should do this vocal but I'll turn myself into a man because that'll be really interesting won't it and what else did I use so I I didn't really want a 60s feel necessarily but I just like what the vocal chorus does that that Vibe for my vocal the Ian vocal I should say um Euro dance remix uh was the plug-in trans vapor vaporized meat meat beet um now the trans vaporized beet comes in all sorts of different um well it's they're numbered 128 basically so you can pick you know find one that you like actually uh the trapdoor drummer Dez he's one of my favorites look not one of my favorites for my actual singles but one of my favorites for ringtones and what we're talking about is making ringtones isn't it that's um that's why I'm here every day and that's what we're looking at essentially or or making small clips of music so that you can launch a career doing what I do basically um and that was it and I put it through final ballad ballad Master wide which which I have tweaked a bit but that's my kind of go-to favorite so all I put into the loops was Rock that's it and it came up with actually you might be able to hear actually if I place something let me have a have a look no you can't cuz I'm I'm rigged up to the podcast now so you won't able to hear that sorry um all these I mean the the 70s rock samples there are 61 of them all in different Keys all in different speeds but of course you can alter those anyway so all these riffs it's quite cool isn't it and that's all I used so um dead easy guys really simple to make and then I basically I just think of the first thing that comes into my head for the vocal and that and that is really it that's all I have to do and you know it it's not rocket science to create modern music and this is the beauty of it you can be a singer you can be a musician you can be a record producer all of those things are at your feet they really are but I I do think you need a bit of passion and if you're hoping to compete with you know um I'm trying to think of someone famous Grimes no I don't think she is she famous still God I'm really out of touch um I was thinking of that Grime musician I've forgotten who that is as well remember that it's not my bag you know um but if you're wanting to compete with Harry Styles there we go Harry Styles and then the other one the ginger one what's his name the one you know the one the ginger one that just writes the same song over and over again and makes billions from it if you want to compete on that level you're going to really struggle because the you know even these guys don't make as much as they did 10 years ago because of streaming um so really this shows about how you can uh you know start a different route or create something for yourself that took an hour and you know you're not it doesn't take 6 months to write the bloody album because that's what it that's how it used to go you know you'd have to get band sober off the drug get them together um Be Inspired for 6 months in between you know Hard Rock parties women and you know partying and then then you then you'd be ready to you know kind of go to your record production your label and say right here's the album we don't do that anymore we could create an album in a week you know or less I mean it depends what you do I mean I could write 10 songs today on my cello or my piano I mean
