Ashley is a “blueberry in a bowl of tomato soup,” as former Texas Gov. Rick Perry referred to Austin, Texas. Known for their liberalism and free-loving spirit, Austinites tent to be more progressive than the rest of the state—a prominent reason Ashley moved there from the Midwest in 2016. Having worked for the tourism office, a non profit theatre and now a music and film non-profit, Ashley knows a thing or two about Austin, Texas.
