Tori you might want some emotion at the right times but if you hear somebody kick the door in or break a window and your man curled up in the fetal position snot bubble crying the relationship probably is going to end shortly after that

When I said Elders that deserve it I simply meant that there are some older people that aren't shit but as a child you still show them basic respect but you have enough sense to not take advice from them. Everybody has those cousins or uncles who just constantly make bad decisions so you wouldn't want them to emulate that

I might disagree with you a little bit on little boys and crying. I'm an emotional person myself but as a man especially a black man you can't drop tears and show emotion every time something happens. It might not be good for your health but you have to put that shit on hold and deal with the situation at hand because you can't be perceived as weak from the whites or from your woman

There are too many ways to answer this question. There are some basic fundamentals you need when raising a child obviously. Discipline . .accountability. . respect for your parents and elders. Well Elders that deserve it. If a child doesn't respect his parents he's not going to give a damn about anybody else for their opinion. Also I personally believe that every kid should play a sport but if it's not going to be a sport they need to be involved in something to where they deal with other people and they don't always get their way. That's a good way to develop conflict resolution as well as confidence
