Many traditions, as well as the words of Christ, tell us that we should allow our lights to shine while shedding the hurtful constructs that can dampen it. What does this mean spiritually? It can be especially confusing when held in the light of our call to humility. However, as we'll see, combining this idea with Christ's and others' invitation to become like spiritual children can bring powerful insight into how these truths might empower our lives toward greater peace, play, and goodness.
