I mean think about it, our breath is one of the most natural phenomena within our body, so for most of us, we simply assume that the way we breath must be optimal.

This simply is not the case, for most our breathing is shallow, fast and many are breathing through the mouth. The cost of breathing improperly is huge, you just have to check out the work of James Nestor.

Today we are talking to James Mcwhinney and Elísabet Ýr Sigurðardóttir about their startup called Anda, which means “breathe” in Icelandic. Anda was founded with a singular focus: to help you take control of your life and improve your overall health and wellbeing, all through your breath.

Their mission is to empower individuals to take control of their physical and mental health by providing them with the tools and guidance they need to optimize their wellbeing. They strive to help their users achieve their highestpotential and become the best version of themselves.

James Mcwhinney says his passion lies in human optimisation and empowering people to improve their wellbeing. That's why he wrote 'The Wellbeing Revolution', a book that aims to help individuals take control of their physical and mental health.

Elísabet Ýr Sigurðardóttir is an Icelander who now resides in Sydney, Australia. As someone who is passionate about health and wellness, she has always been interested in the transformative power of breath. This passion led her to create Anda.

Anda have heavy support from the VC fund Antler and are looking to do some amazing things.
