Much controversy was generated by the flouting of the Anambra State Burial Law during the funeral of the late former governor of the state, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
The late Ezeife was buried in his Igboukwu country home in the Aguata Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
At the event, which was attended by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the governor condemned the use of brochures and banners for the funeral, which is against the state burial law.
Here, we discuss the constant flouting of the law by individuals. Most of all, we seek ways the Anambra State Government can ensure the effective implementation of the burial law?
