Mike Cooper vive a Valencia in Spagna e negli ultimi 60 anni è stato un viaggiatore internazionale ed esploratore musicale, spingendo i confini e le frontiere della sua musica e della sua arte. È anche un creatore di film e video, un artista visivo e di installazioni e compone ed esegue musica dal vivo per film muti classici e contemporanei. Recentemente ha scritto e registrato la colonna sonora del film Cane Fire diretto da Anthony – Banau – Simon. Ad oggi ha pubblicato 70 dischi da solista, 37 collaborazioni primarie e appare in altre 26 uscite. “La musica di Cooper, in ogni sua forma, sembra ubriacarsi della mescolanza delle tradizioni popolari, cercando un punto tra tutte che renda familiare lo strano e viceversa. Mike Cooper currently lives in Valencia in Spain and for the past 60 years he has been an international traveller and musical explorer pushing the boundaries and borders of his music and art. He is also a film and video maker, visual and installation artist and composes and performs live music for classic and contemporary silent films. He most recently wrote and recorded the score for the feature film Cane Fire directed by Anthony Banau – Simon. He has to date released 70 solo records, 37 primary collaborations and appears on 26 other releases. “Cooper’s music, in any of its forms, seems drunk on the intermingling of folk traditions, searching for a spot between them all that renders the strange familiar and vice versa.
