Great episode as always...just wanted to jump in and say that Universal did the shared universe first as was briefly touched on in the podcast, but it was done in the 1940's. The Wolfman was released in 1941 and Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman in 1943. This bridged two independent properties successfully and was followed by House of Dracula, House of Frankenstein, and Abbot & Costello Meets Frankenstein (featuring Lugosi's Dracula, The Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster, and a version of The Invisible Man). After that, the Godzilla series also had a shared universe by bringing Motha and Rodan, both who had their own films, into the Godzilla series. Marvel has perfected it...but it's been done before.
