I start out by going over some stats that I recently found to explain the state of the housing market based on what both investors and economic specialists are predicting these next few months. We also dive more into the recent rate cuts as well as how oil prices may affect the current downward trajectory.
With home prices up 32% since last January despite the rise in interest rates, all stats are pointing to a increase in home prices AND an increase in competition for purchasing a home in 2024.
The main question we will be facing is ‘When interest rates start coming down, what will that look like for our 2024 housing market?’ We could be shaping up for an interesting 2024 with competition starting earlier than spring!
