ASHA PRAVER - Putting Holy Back Into Holidays - So many people live right at the edge of anxiety all the time. Anything additional pushes them right over the edge. This holiday season is so fraught with uncertainty many do not feel like celebrating. Perhaps instead of trying to make these days "jolly," we should try to make them "holy." Wellness expert and author Asha Praver says "What started out as 'holy days' have become mere 'holidays'. The focus is so outward, that people experience them merely as an increase in frenzy, without a balancing increase of inner awareness, peace, and joy." Asha recommends the following tip to find Joy every day, especially during the holidays: Put prayer back into the holidays. Whatever your religious point of view, exercise it during the holidays. Pause and remember that you are part of an Infinite reality. In whatever way uplifts you: silence, song, nature, love of friends and family -- remind yourself of a greater reality, tune in, appreciate, commune, be grateful. Then go on with whatever that Infinite has assigned you to do. So, in this time of economic uncertainty, Praver asks, "Shall we be dragged kicking and screaming away from our materialistic habits, or shall we embrace -- at least with courage, better still, with enthusiasm -- a new possibility?" "Holy day" is the key. Additionally, Praver can discuss 5 tips to bring the Holy forward during the Holidays. - www.TheJoyIsWithInYou.com
