She serves in her hometown of Portland, Oregon, all over the US and in many countries around the world with a special emphasis on minorities in broken homes or other compromising situations, supporting organizations and nonprofit groups: Quechua Benefit Peru, Casa Chapi Primary/Secondary School Peru, Campaign for Female Education African countries, Edison High School Portland, Rosemary Anderson High School Portland, Saparingo Primary School Kenya, Big Brother Big Sister, Tabor 100, the Africa Foundation, and numerous orphanages around the world. Mimi also recently co-founded Great Big Owl, an accelerator program created to help small businesses with strategy and brand marketing. GBO was created to combine Entrepreneurial Spirit with their dedication to making the world a better place. As profits build in the organizations, GBO will contribute 50% to further fund their philanthropic efforts.
