She have had many jobs in the Movement writing children songs developing Alphabets and She have written one children book soon to be publish. The Movement has laid Her foundation to becoming an Educator, and a Special Education Teacher. She taught various disciplines and supported students. She retired two years ago from Baltimore City Public School Systems. She been teachings Moorish History & Law for over 10 years in Her current Temple as well as host of the Moorish Light Blog Talk Radio; blogtalkradio.com/moorishlight a rebirth of “The Light” She hosted in 1980’s on WEAA at Morgan State University. She also Organized Actual Freedom Day annually to bring attention to the Proclamations of President Lincoln which became Law December 15, 1862. 6 NOV. 2024 · Maria Thompson Corley (BM, University of Alberta; MM, DMA, The Juilliard School) has appeared as a solo and collaborative pianist in Canada, the United States, Central America, the Caribbean, Bermuda and Europe. Her engagements as a soloist with orchestra include the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Gunther Schuller. She and cellist Sara Male formed Duo Chiaroscuro in 2011; among their passions is performing concerts for people whose special needs prevent strict observance of concert protocols. Dr. Corley has recorded for Naxos, Albany, Parma, MSR Classics, and independent labels. Excerpts from her discs have been featured in movies and on television, radio and digital platforms, nationally and internationally. Medusa Was Black is the Founder of Spellbound Poetry Slam based in Richmond, Va. Her work has been Emmy nominated and is a Graduate Fellow of the Watering Hole Writing Retreat. When she is not on poet time, she is a single mother of a 5 year old and cosplayer. Breeze The Poet is a spoken word artist/ author/slam coach/battle rapper from Richmond VA. He has performed all over the country including venues such as The Broward Center for Performing Arts and the historic Apollo Theater. He is also a TV1 Lexus presents Verses and Flow alum.

Atlas is also a 2x back to back (2023 and 2024) verb benders grand slam champion. He also has helped the verb benders slam team reach a number 10 and number 3 spot in the nation He also founded Slam Connection, a slam poetry-based organization in Williamsburg created to use poetry, slam poetry, and spoken word as a means for community action: in only two years of operation, Slam Connection has created its own curriculum, holds free open, mics every month, has taught poetry to incarcerated youth, and partnered with the local library and the city of Williamsburg to enrich the culture. Atlas is currently working with the city of Williamsburg to install the first poet laureate in the that area: an educator through the Child Defense Fund Freedom School as a servant leader intern and a site coordinator.
