She can't say, "No" to house-to-house salesmen. A radio-noir portrait typical of the Elliot Lewis era of a mad-dog killer. Beware "The Lady In Red"!  Followed by Yours Truly Johnny Dollar starring Bob Bailey, originally broadcast May 10, 1959, 65 years ago, The Fatal Filet Matter. Johnny has dinner with a pal, the plans are to share a steak. Johnny's piece is overcooked, but his friend dies from ground glass in the meat! Will a gift of candy do the trick? Then Jack Benny, originally broadcast May 9, 1948, 76 years ago, The Oscar.  Jack tells guests Ronald Colman and Benita Hume that Ronald's Oscar has been stolen. A flashback retells (again) the, "Your money or your life" joke and still gets a laugh. Finally Superman, originally broadcast May 9, 1941, 83 years ago, The Nitrate Shipment.  Superman rescues Pug just as he's about to drown! A torpedo is launched at the ship by a submarine, but is turned around. A mail-order bride from Sweden arrives to find her pen-pal groom about to be hanged for murder. Mr. Lumpkin loses his place in the script. Tommy Riggs and "Betty Lou" appear on the show for the 40th time. Irving Caesar sings "A Song Of Safety" called, "Hot and Cold Water." Boris Karloff and Harold Vermilyea appear in a very well-written drama titled, "Danse Macabre." "The Sisters Of The Skillet" appear as, "The Roving Radio Reporters.".
