Despite their small size, microplastics are difficult to remove from the environment due to their durability and widespread presence. Their impact on ecosystems and human health is still being studied, but scientists are increasingly concerned about the long-term effects of this pollution. Reducing plastic usage is a key strategy to mitigate microplastic contamination.
