Hello! I'm Gail Nobles, and you're listening to Current Blues Alive. Sugar Ray Rayford has a new single out entitled Human Decency. That's the title of his new single according to sugarrayrayford.com. The title track is a simple reminder that our similarities are more substantial than our differences, and in the end, there is no black or white or left or right. There are only hearts and minds. Now that is the truth. I love the new single Human Decency. It is a powerhouse single.
I call Rayford the message man. When you've got Rayford, that's what you got. He has a powerful voice and sound to carry it out. Rayford is a combination of sounds. He combines classic soul melodies and funky R&B blues together.
You've got to hear the album. If you’re searching for some great blues of today, I know that Sugaray Rayford is the man. The blues soul man. The message man. The Grammy nominated soul blues singing man. Sugaray Rayford is the man you want to hear. Thank you for listening to Current Blues Alive.

Arthur Adams has a singled entitled I Love You More from his 2023 album Kick Up Some Dust. It's another beautiful song, and his voice and music makes you want to listen to the song in its entirety.
Arthur Adams blues guitarist from Medon, Tennessee. Inspired by B.B. King and other 1950s artists, he played gospel music before attending college. He moved to Los Angeles, and during the 1960s and 1970s he released solo albums and worked as a session musician. In 1985 he was tapped to tour on bass guitar with Nina Simone,[1] and he staged a comeback in the 1990s when he released Back on Track, and became a respected Chicago blues player and bandleader in B.B. King's clubs.
A prolific songwriter, with a blues style that incorporated a variety of genres, and a vocalist with a funky, soul-driven sound, Adams is known for his collaboration with many of blues' elite and continues to perform to date.

Joanne Shaw Taylor has a single entitled Someone Like You. It's a beautiful soulful single from her 2024 album Heavy Soul.
Joanne is an English singer and guitarist. Her genre is blues rock. She primarily uses Fender telecaster electric guitars. She has a beautiful voice. I love the way she sings Someone Like You and the way she plays the guitar.
The song is written by Van Morrison. I thought I kind of recognized his style a little bit. Joanne has an awesome songwriter. He wrote a song just right for her. The lyrics, the music, and her voice is all awesome work.

Hello I'm Gail Nobles, and you're listening to Current Blues Alive: A show about modern blues artists and bands alive and well on the modern blue scene. They are keeping the blues alive.
Today I'm going to talk about Robert Cray. He's a blues guitarist and singer who has led his own band and 15 Grammy awards. Robert Cray was born on August 1, 1953, in Columbus, Georgia. By the age of 20, Cray had seen his heroes Albert Collins, Freddie King and Muddy Waters in concert and decided to form his own band; they began playing college towns on the West Coast.
Pray release some albums in the 1980s he was signed to mercury records and in 1986 release his fourth album, Strong Persuader produced by Dennis Walker, which received a Grammy Award, while the crossover single "Smoking Gun" gave him wider appeal and name recognition.
Craig had the opportunity to play alongside John Lee Hooker in the 90s. The entire Robert Cray band backed hooker on the title track of his 1992 album Mr. Lucky where Cray plays lead guitar, sings, and banters with Hooker throughout the song. The band also appears on two songs of BB King 1993 duet album Blues Summit.
In August 1990, Cray played with Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, and Stevie Ray Vaughan at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, performing "Sweet Home Chicago".
In 2005, Cray was inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk at Guitar Center.
Cray continues to record and tour.
So there you have it - Robert Cray. I'm Gail Nobles, and you're listening to Current Blues Alive.
