Illuminating exploitation and predatory practices in the Indie Entertainment and Gaming Industry, from remote toxic work environments, e-harrassment and high school level zoom office politics to the weaponization of the job market, intimidation and bigotry in self-proclaimed inclusive spaces. Difficult To Work With aims to raise the voices of the once and often silenced victims of these working conditions and explore the questions we're all asking: How can we change things? How do you create accountability in a majority freelance industry that has a constantly watching but often ignorant audience? How to deal with the constant tokenization within our own niches? What does virtual HR look like for something as small as a 3-person studio hiring out and how can we create practices that protect the workers/performers, not the three predators in a trenchoat pretending to be a corporation?
