Born on April 15, 1955, in Alexandria, Egypt, Dodi Fayed was the eldest of five children born to Mohamed Al-Fayed, a successful businessman, and Samira Khashoggi, sister of international arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi. Fayed's early life was steeped in luxury and privilege, as he grew up in opulent homes in Egypt, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. He received his education at prestigious institutions, including the exclusive Le Rosey boarding school in Switzerland and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England. Following his education, Fayed embarked on a career in film production, working on several notable projects, including "Chariots of Fire" (1981), "Hook" (1991), and "F/X" (1986). Fayed's business ventures extended beyond film production, as he held positions in various companies owned by his father, including Harrods department store and Fulham Football Club. He also dabbled in real estate investments, acquiring properties in the United States and the United Kingdom. Fayed's wealth and social standing opened doors to the upper echelons of society, where he cultivated friendships with celebrities, royalty, and political figures. He was known for his extravagant lifestyle, hosting lavish parties and frequenting exclusive nightclubs. In 1997, Fayed's life took a dramatic turn when he began dating Diana, Princess of Wales.
