Denise Michelle’s story is a powerful testament to what happens when a woman decides to choose herself, despite the trauma, despite the odds, and despite the pain that tried to silence her. At just six years old, Denise experienced sexual abuse that changed the trajectory of her childhood. By adulthood, she was surviving Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, domestic abuse, and the financial devastation of bankruptcy.
Her healing journey was not linear, but it was intentional. Then, in 2020, Denise endured unimaginable grief, losing five family members, including her mother, to COVID. Instead of collapsing under the weight of it all, she turned inward, upward, and forward, choosing to rebuild her life with vision, purpose, and radical self-love.

With a father consumed by alcoholism and a mother deeply codependent, often dissociative, shut down, and unable to function, Ashtyn was forced into a parental role far too early. She became the emotional and practical caregiver not only for her biological younger brother, but also for her younger adoptive brother, who depended on her for stability and protection.
While other children were learning, playing, and being nurtured, Ashtyn was cooking, comforting, problem-solving, and carrying responsibilities that shaped her entire sense of self. At just 11 years old, she wrote her first suicide letter. By 16, she had attempted suicide for the first time. (We Inspire Nurture Guide and Support), a faith-based initiative dedicated to helping others navigate the storms of mental health and trauma with hope and healing.
