Europe Beyond Access supports disabled artists to break the glass ceilings of the contemporary theatre and dance sectors to: internationalise their artistic innovations and their careers, develop a network of leading mainstream organisations with a commitment to present and commission at the highest level, build European audiences interested in high-quality innovative work by Europe’s disabled artists, develop tools and understanding in the wider performing arts market.

19 MAY. 2023 · To discuss the complex relationship between artist and producer, we have Chiara Bersani and Giulia Traversi, and translator Nicoletta Comand. Chiara is an Italian disabled performer, choreographer and author. She’s a founder of the Italian Association “Al Di Qua”, and her work Gentle Unicorn was awarded first prize in the dance category of the Total Theatre Awards at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 19 MAY. 2023 · To explore the subject of acquired disabilities, we welcome artists Marc Brew and Diana Niepce. Marc Brew is an international choreographer who has worked for over 24 years as a director, choreographer, dancer, teacher and speaker. Marc was Associate Director with Scottish Dance Theatre, Associate Artistic Director with Ballet Cymru in Wales, Associate Artist in 2015 at Tramway in Scotland and Artistic Director of AXIS Dance Company 2017-2021. Diana Niepce is a Portuguese dancer and choreographer who has performed internationally, her recent work including Anda Diana, a performance that tells a story of self-reconstruction after a fall causing spinal cord injury. Edu O. is a Brazilian choreographer and dancer, Director of Grupo X of Improvisation in Dance, and Professor in Dance.
