    4 ABR. 2024 · On this episode, we discuss the Antikythera Mechanism, a device found in a Roman shipwreck off the Greek Island of Antijythera.  Retrieved with several other treasures, due to it's advanced state of petrification and other issues, it wasn't even looked at much after it was initially brought up.  But over time, people have discovered this uncanny device that simulates the movement of the heavens created in the time of Before Common Era using a differential gear which otherwise doesn't show up for another 1300 years.  We discuss the devices discovery and the theories about it in this man learning stuff is fun episode of the Family Plot Podcast!

Fett is also a member of the Stockton historical society and together we tell the tale of Cordelia Botkin, a Missouri girl who moved to San Francisco, had a son and began cheating on her husband with the guy in charge of the Associated Press' San Francisco Office. We discuss their lives prior to their meeting and how the pair was soon inseperable, We discuss how their relationship ended and how Cordelia Botkin sent poison candy to her former lover's wife as a form of revenge. This is the first time in American History a person murdered another through the mail and we discuss it all in this man are we glad we have friends episode of the Family Plot Podcast!
