These two are some of my favorite people I've come across in this business and their story is worth the listen. They have overcome alot to live the life they live and are paving the way for more americans to have children that are born and raised in different countries. This episode is for those who need that brief reminder to stay in the moment and be grateful for the present. I'm sure we all live somewhat of a busy life and it can be very demanding. But it's always enough time to take a moment for yourself. I talk alot about what it means to be present and the benefits of slowing down just a tad bit. I also go on a rant about social media being a crapshoot of negativity. Bring your lunch pales and your hardhats. It's gonna be a good one! I hope you enjoy. In this episode, I talk about how fans and sports analyst have gone overboard with the criticism, an intriguing conversation I had with a good friend of mine, and why I didn't set any goals for 2024. 20 NOV. 2023 · Joey Burton is a skills trainer that masterfully teaches the art of shooting and other fundamental skills. I remember my first workout with him as a Senior at Butler and he was first person to ever tell me that i was shooting on the way down. He taught me to release the ball at the high point of my jump and always extend my arm, lock my elbow out and get those fingers down. I wanted to bring him on the podcast because i witnessed firsthand how he would work for free and now he flies all over the USA working with NBA guys on the daily. How many of us are willing to be a servant in our profession long before you get paid or get the recognition? 9 AGO. 2023 · Welcome to the podcast Alumni Keenan Gumbs. Keenan is a former pro hooper who decided to retire mid way through his career for his other passion in strength and conditioning. He is starting his new career at the University of Kentucky as the assistant strength coach for Men's Basketball. Prior to his retirement, Keenan and I had a chess match of a playoff battle in Sweden in 20/21 that we talk alot about. It was interesting to hear about that series from the opponents perspective. We also talk a bit about what makes Kentucky so elite and what it was like to have a pool party at Drake's crib.
