27 MAY. 2022 · This week on the Her Story Her Journey podcast, we spotlight Coach Mea Allman who’s a certified Life Coach and the Founder/Editor-in-chief of KUO Magazine @officialkuomagazine
She shared how she had to pull on the EXTRA inside of her When she was rocked to the core by hearing the words ‘You have Cancer’.
Trying to walk this difficult journey left her feeling afraid, depressed, anxious, and less of a woman. Feeling completely overwhelmed, she thought suicide might be a way to stop the pain.
The reminder of her beauty and her worth came through a provider who took time to pour love into her until in her own words “ I learned to embrace all of who I am”
Today, Mea is the founder of Women Of Kulture @officialwomenofkulture whose mission is to celebrate & inspire women from diverse cultures, to find their power of #G.L.O.W. 365 = GreaterLevelOfWellness365 in living healthy.

13 MAY. 2022 · This week on the Her Story Her Journey podcast, we spotlight Evangelist LaQwonna “Lady Q” Glaster who’s a certified Life Coach and also a creative.
She shared how she had to pull on the EXTRA inside of her when she experienced sexual, verbal, and emotional abuse at a young age. This led to her feeling unloved and unwanted and looking to fill the hole in her heart. In her own words, this led to her “ looking for love in the wrong places” and only resulted in her feeling even more unloved and abandoned.
In a moment of hopelessness, she attempted to end the pain by attempting suicide….several times. But hope came in the form of her son… and she sought therapy as a way to build a healthy sense of self.
She later founded Sisters of Faith, an organization that focuses on helping women come out of brokenness.

She shared her story of how she had to pull on the EXTRA inside of her when she lost her brother to the monster that suicide is, the same week she attempted suicide herself. She was able to move on from all these traumas and found joy in the many businesses she created. She found her strength in sharing her story with other people in order to give them hope. In her own words, “I am not perfect, but I am purposed”.

She was left with two little children, no money, and little resources but she didn’t let that stop her as she was able to ‘get up and get moving’. She’s now using her ministry to reach out to those going through similar struggles and give them much-needed help while pursuing her dream of being a lawyer.
