Michelle earned her MA in history from San Diego State University. Hamilton is the author or editor of several books including “'I Would Still Be Drowned in Tears': Spiritualism in Abraham Lincoln’s White House" and "Mary Ball Washington: The Mother of George Washington". Her latest book is "Civil War Ghosts" published by Haunted Road Media. A lifelong student of history, Michelle has worked as a docent at several museums across the county. Or, more specifically, North Carolina. Early colonizers crossed the Atlantic and settled into areas like Virginia, and our very own Tar Heel state. With these people in the new world, came their stories and folklore. Many of their beliefs and stories still resonate today. Many of these souls still haven’t left the infamous Outer Banks. A place where people often vacation today, was the site of traumatic events, and even mysterious disappearances.
