Now the Snow Reporter's Update
November 9, 2023 - 06:25 am
Greetings, Beast Fans. We hope everyone is having a great time getting back on snow. Rime and Reason will be groomed and in good shape thanks to the 2" of snow that fell last night and from some new man-made snow that we put down. Our snowmaking team has been taking advantage of cold temps when the opportunity arises, firing upwards of 200 guns across the mountain to resurface open terrain, expand terrain and continue to prep Superstar for the World Cup. It will warm up today, so we are taking a pause, but you can expect to hear the roar of the guns soon. We may see some mixed precipitation this morning, so be careful driving to the hill. Have fun!
Be aware, terrain is only suitable for advanced and intermediate skiers and riders currently.
The K-1 Express Gondola will spin from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. (last ride up at 3:00 p.m.) and North Ridge Quad will spin from 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Last run-down Rime and Reason is at 3:30 p.m. We’ll use the Peak Walkway to get to and from the North Ridge Area for skiing and snowboarding – yes walking is required. All skiers and riders will download the K-1 Gondola at the end of the day.
We’ve also been busy making snow on Superstar from top to bottom in anticipation for the Stifel Killington Cup. Superstar will not open to the public until after the event.
