Classic gameplay commentary, the way they used to make it. Found tapes from back when YouTube was good, Addie "EposVox" chats with you about life, philosophy, struggles, and just making sense of the world. This is a format stuck in time, as if it were 2010 all over again, and this time we're NOT going through the "reaction cam" phase. Just chat, just relax.

8 NOV. 2023 · Today's commentary is a throwback to ~2018. I have a couple of these I want to share interspersed in with the new stuff. I frequently have this same annual cycle of revisiting the classic gameplay commentaries that got me into YouTube and asking "what happened?" so my thoughts here are the same as I have every year. Amusingly, this Liminal Musings series is dedicated to reviving that format, one week at a time - so I thought it was appropriate to include this talk in the series.

10 OCT. 2023 · Ask yourself.
10 OCT. 2023 · Gameplay commentaries are finally coming back. This was recorded in January, just a week after something major happened and I've just been too uncomfortable to edit it up or post it until now. But I wanted to get this posted, as it's also been keeping me from making ANY commentaries this year. Feels good to finally get this off my chest.
10 OCT. 2023 · “Nostalgia is a file that removes the rough edges from the good old days.” - Doug Larson
“True nostalgia is an ephemeral composition of disjointed memories.” - Florence King
When we think about nostalgia, it's very common to focus primarily on the object of that nostalgia rather than the source of the feeling itself. Too often are people confused about why they feel nostalgic for a particular thing or item, when really the context of that thing is what matters most.
Nostalgia can be a wonderful indulgence on fond memories or a therapeutic remembrance of where we've come from, but it can also send you down a dark, unhealthy and obsessive path.
10 OCT. 2023 · Liminal Musings is a return to form, a completing-the-circuit of my YouTube career as I finally make a *firm* commitment to maintaining the classic gameplay commentary format at least once a week for a year. I have many things to share and there's many questions from you that I wish to answer.
