Lipstick and Leather is a bi-monthly podcast hosted by Billy Badass and Dirty Jim, (published on the 1st and 15th of each month), where we travel back in time to review a heavy metal, hard rock or glam album from an 80's era band (some 70's). In addition, we debate iconic songs, albums and bands, have concert confessionals and hear funny stories from around the keg. Besides taking a trip down memory lane for some diehards, hopefully we can inspire a new generation of fans. Our conversation and stories are funny and include sound effects throughout to enhance the hilarity. In the end, we’re just two guys who graduated high school in the 1980’s, who love metal/rock and performed in bars and clubs in multiple bands. We think you'll find our podcast humorous and definitely a flashback to some of the best music of all time.

Followed by “Get The Fluff Out!” where we review the 1986 debut album by HAWK and the 1992 debut album “Under The Influence” by WildSide. Then we conclude the episode with, “The Awesome 5 songs to play if the world was ending”. We definitely loved our journey through the 1980's! Followed by our “Rock N Roll Rumble” and our Rising Sun Rumble where we Battle – “Thunder in the East” by Loudness vs the self-titled debut album by EZO. Then we conclude the episode with, “Pin the Tale on the Rocker”, where we play a fun trivia game to match 3 statements to 3 Rockers. We definitely loved our journey through the 1980's! 1 DIC. 2021 · In this episode we'll be reviewing the 2nd best-selling music album in history, “Back In Black” by AC/DC. Followed by “Get The Fluff Out!” where we discuss and select songs from, “The Lizard” by Saigon Kick and “No Rest For the Wicked” by Helix. Then we conclude the episode with two funny stories in the segment, “The Awesome 5 songs to get you through a bad date”. We definitely loved our journey through the 1980's! 15 NOV. 2021 · In this episode we'll be reviewing the 1981 legendary album by RUSH – "Moving Pictures". Followed by “Get The Fluff Out!” where we discuss and select songs from the new album by KK’s Priest – “Sermons Of The Sinner”. Then we are excited to promote a newer 80s style band called STRIKER, where we hear from lead singer Dan Cleary about their new single as well as background on the band. Then we conclude the episode with, “Knox and Cox on the WROX”, a couple of confused DJ’s stuck in a time warp, who actually believe they are still living in the 1980’s. Followed by our “Battle Of The Titans” segment where we battle the 1974 Judas Priest debut album “Rocka Rolla” vs Iron Maiden’s self-titled debut album from 1980. Then we conclude the episode with “WHAT IF?” to find out WHAT IF something ELSE happened to a band or band member in contrast to the song lyrics we’ve always heard. Episode 27: Whitesnake - Slide It In
15 OCT. 2021 · In this episode we'll be reviewing the 1984 album by Whitesnake - “Slide It In”. Followed by “Make Me A Mix” where we create a mix of our favorite Scorpions songs from their albums Unbreakable (2004), Humanity Hour 1 (2007), Sting In The Tail (2010) and Return To Forever (2015). Then we conclude the episode with, “RE-WRITE Rock”. This is a tongue-in-cheek show where we re-write certain lyrics to be more appropriate for the sensitivities of people’s ears nowadays.
