In 1952, C.S. Lewis published Mere Christianity, stripping away what separates Christians across denominations to reveal what binds them together: a shared moral law, a common longing for transcendence, and the rational foundations of faith itself.

Today, we need a revival of that same spirit.

Merely Christian, hosted by Clint Betts, is a podcast exploring the deepest questions of belief, morality, and meaning. Not from behind the walls of a single tradition, but from the conviction that religious and spiritual traditions share common concerns across their beautiful diversity. They grapple with the same essential questions about truth, goodness, justice, and what it means to live well.

The alternative to this kind of engagement is obvious. We're already living it: retreat into corners, the hardening of differences into walls, the slow death of our ability to reason together about what matters most.

This podcast is an invitation to think carefully, listen generously, and discover that the questions keeping you up at night are often the same ones your neighbors are asking.
