21 OCT. 2026 · On July 16, 1996, 36-year-old Susan Walsh disappeared from Nutley, New Jersey. Susan was a mother, journalist, graduate student, and researcher who had spent years navigating the worlds of exotic dancing and investigative journalism. Her work had brought her into contact with stories involving the sex industry, alleged Russian organized crime, and New York’s underground subcultures, giving investigators no shortage of potentially dangerous directions to explore when she suddenly vanished.
But Susan’s disappearance becomes even more troubling when we look closer to home. She reportedly left behind her wallet and other personal belongings, never returned to her young son, and was never reliably seen again. Over the years, questions have emerged about Susan’s relationships, her health and relapse shortly before she vanished, the original investigation, and even whether the long-accepted account of her leaving the building that day can be independently verified.
In this episode of Midday Missing, we go beyond the sensational headlines to look at who Susan really was, what was happening in her life during the weeks before July 16, the last known timeline, the competing theories surrounding her disappearance, her family’s decades-long search for answers, and the later court battle over the police investigative records.
Nearly thirty years later, Susan Walsh is still missing. What happened to her on July 16, 1996, and does the answer lie in the dangerous stories she investigated or much closer to home?
If you have credible information concerning the disappearance of Susan Walsh, please contact the Nutley Police Department at 201-284-4940.
19 OCT. 2026 · Christina Murphy spent more than two decades caring for people during some of the most frightening moments of their lives. Then, on July 22, 2024, the California nurse and mother of two suddenly disappeared.
The search for Christina would eventually lead investigators to the Kern River, where pieces of her Toyota 4Runner were discovered and the SUV itself was found submerged beneath the rushing water. For nearly two months, dangerous river conditions prevented its recovery. When authorities were finally able to pull Christina's vehicle from the river, they discovered something no one was prepared for: the SUV was empty.
Christina was not inside.
In this episode of Midday Missing, Teri True Crime looks beyond the disappearance to the woman at the center of this case: Christina's childhood in the Lake Isabella area, her decades-long nursing career, her life as a mother of two, and the friends and coworkers who describe a compassionate woman devoted to helping others. Then we follow the search from the first pieces of Christina's vehicle discovered near the Kern River through the private dive effort, the eventual recovery of her Toyota, and the continuing question that has never been answered.
If Christina went into the Kern River with her SUV, how did she end up outside of it?
And more than two years later, where is Christina Murphy?
If you have information about Christina Murphy's disappearance, contact the Kern County Sheriff's Office at 661-861-3110.

There was just one devastating problem: Jeanine had never been found.Jeanine’s disappearance would become far more than a missing person investigation. 12 OCT. 2026 · Ali I’isha Gilmore was 30 years old and approximately four months pregnant when she vanished from Tallahassee, Florida, in the early morning hours of February 3, 2006.
Ali had worked a late shift the night before and made it safely back home. In the early morning hours, she had what would become her last known phone conversation. Then, somewhere between that call and the following day, Ali disappeared.
Her vehicle was left behind. So were her purse and cell phone. Inside her home were pregnancy books and baby items, signs of a woman preparing for the arrival of her child, not someone preparing to walk away from her life.
As investigators began piecing together Ali’s final hours, attention turned to the people closest to her and the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy and relationships. Dwight Aldridge would eventually be publicly identified as a person of interest, but no one has ever been charged in connection with Ali’s disappearance.
Nearly two decades later, Ali has never been found.
In this episode of Midday Missing, Teri True Crime takes you through who Ali was, the final known hours before she vanished, the evidence left behind, the investigation, the person of interest, and the questions that remain unanswered.
What happened after Ali Gilmore’s final phone call, and after all these years, where is Ali?
If you have information concerning the disappearance of Ali I’isha Gilmore, please contact the appropriate law enforcement agency or submit a tip through official case resources.
