Originally on radio from 1948 to 1957, Our Miss Brooks is a beloved American sitcom starring Eve Arden as Connie Brooks, the sardonic, wisecracking English teacher at Madison High. The sharp workplace comedy follows Connie as she spars with blustery Principal Osgood Conklin, pines for shy biology teacher Mr. Boynton, and tries to stay one step ahead of her students — including a young Richard Crenna as scheming Walter Denton — with Gale Gordon and Jeff Chandler among the standout supporting players. Anchored by Arden's rapid-fire delivery and hilarious asides, it's one of old-time radio's most enduring comedies centered on a confident, endlessly funny woman.
