In 1971, Rev. and Mrs. Jerry Green moved to Porter, Texas with their five sons. Through a dream and many other confirmations, God had given Bro. Green a promise of revival for the small community of Porter. God saw beyond the twenty-seven faithful saints in attendance for Bro. Green’s first service and saw a great host of people from near and far. As Bro. Green started preaching the Word of God, the church began to grow. After more than forty years, the dream of revival is still being fulfilled in this rapidly growing community.Throughout Bro. Green’s ministry at Porter APC, the church has completed four major building programs. Our current facility includes a 1,100-seat sanctuary, new Sunday School classrooms and offices. Most recently, we completed renovations to our 5,000 sq. ft. fellowship hall. We are most grateful that all these renovations and new facilities are paid in full due to Bro. Green’s godly stewardship and the faithful giving of church members.
