29 MAY. 2018 · In this part Bec Jenkinson looks at how often clinicians' meet the legal standard for informed consent. In a Queensland study* of the 3500+ women surveyed, only 48% of women who had had a planned caesarean section said they were fully informed and had consented to have their procedure. Seventy percent of women had were fully informed and consented to their epidural anaesthesia and 26% had been informed about or consented to their episiotomies.
