9 JUL. 2016 · This week's guest is the supremely talented multi instrumentalist, Jørgen Munkeby. Jørgen and I discussed his entire life, including college, how to score credits faster, what lead to his musical development, the success of Shining, and what's next for this creative force. You'll hear the stories and exploits of Shining at Trolltunga, Los Angeles, the Mojave Desert, the streets of Oslo and beyond. Discover why Shining is so popular in Europe and how they remain virtually unknown elsewhere in the world. It was a fun interview and 90 minutes of complete gushing bliss for me, a huge fan of the band and the human.

RSR #1 - Lifting The Mental Health Mask with Kevin Lynch
20 JUL. 2016 · This week's podcast features my friend, Kevin Lynch, the founding CEO of the Quell Foundation in Falmouth, MA. Kevin is a purposeful man, committed to finding a way to remove the mask from the stigma of mental illness. His own personal dealings with mental illness drove Kevin to start the foundation and it's clear this is his calling. In only 6 months of building the brand and non-profit, Kevin was a featured speaker at the White House. It's my hope his story will inspire and challenge you.
In addition, it may be valuable simply to better understand how mental illness may be affecting the fringes of your life. If it's true that 1 in 4 people are diagnosed with mental illness (and improper diagnosis notwithstanding), we know a lot of people who struggle with the disease.

Self taught and a self starter, Jonathan climbed the local ranks of the Seattle music scene at the height of its popularity to ultimately become the right hand of one of Seattle's legendary producers. In the process of that experience, Jonathan met and recorded some of the most important musical works of our generation. Eventually, Jonathan found his way to the ownership role of London Bridge Studios after the Parashar brothers decided to retire.
Since then, Jonathan has partnered up and continues to produce incredible new talent for the world to discover. Whether it's talking about stories of the recording experiences of 'Seattle sound' bands, or discussing the dynamics of being in a band, Jonathan has a voice of authority and experience. So, dig in because this podcast was particularly enjoyable to create. Oh yeah... RSR #3 - A Tribute to My Late Father, Bob Jones (1939-2016)
12 AGO. 2016 · This week's podcast is about my father, the late Robert L Jones Sr. who departed this mortal coil at 7pm on August 2nd, 2016. This podcast discusses his early years, the struggles with family, his older sister dying, his marriage, his years moving and working in towns with funny names, like Chehalis, Wenatchee, Tonasket, Yakima, and Olympia. We visited Lake Chelan. We almost died boating. We almost died moving. We almost died in a head on car accident outside of Yelm, Wa. Basically, we almost died a lot. I also discuss his last 25 years living in Ocean Shores, Wa with my mother, and the toll life took on him. Lastly, it wasn't lost on me that the very thing my dad had always looked for to fill the hole in his life was always right in front of him. He figured that out, and I couldn't be happier about that. I will miss him like no other, and I hope you enjoy this insight into the man that made me what I am. I apologize for the salty dialogue in advance, and I truly thank you for listening to this memorial by yours truly. I love you, Dad. Thank you for making me, me. You are the definition of a Superhero.

30 AGO. 2016 · This week's podcast is with the amazing Ryan Van Poederooyen (RVP) of the Devin Townsend Project. DTP is a well known hard rock/heavy metal/progressive band from Vancouver, Canada and lead by the legend Devin Townsend. To be drumming in such a band requires great skill and musicality and Ryan has it in spades. The podcast digs into the new record due to be released in September of 2016, as well as a bit of life history for Ryan, including the influence his parents had on his life, and the legacy he intends on leaving by being a multifaceted businessman and musician.
