25 JUN. 2024 · Let's face it--most jobs offer a few days off at best when we lose a loved one. It's no different when we lose a child. Very few jobs offer any substantial time off for bereavement. The reality is that, if we don't show up we risk losing our job. Oftentimes we find ourselves unable to focus at work. Our job performance suffers because what we desperately need it time off to grieve.
In this episode we talk about the effects grief has on us in the workplace and what we can do to help ease those negative effects.

Oftentimes it's not that people don't care, it's that they don't have the bandwidth to help us to the degree that we might need at the time.
We will talk about how to decipher whether someone really doesn't care or whether something else is going on in their lives.
