Orin is a multifaceted artist and facilitator born and raised on the unceeded traditional territories of the Coast Salish Nations; colonially known as Vancouver. In addition to acting screen credits (including Arrow and Magicians), she has performed as a dancer across Canada and internationally. Orin’s training spans Salsa, Afro Cuban/Brazilian Dance, Capoeira, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Kickboxing, Circus Arts, and Musical Theatre. She took her training international on extended trips to both Cuba and Brazil where she immersed herself in the cultural roots of their dances. Orin’s drive to contribute to the education and empowerment of her community has inspired her engagement as MC for Shine Dance Festival; Teaching Artist for Luminesque Dance, iDance, and BAMDance; and Social Media Manager for various individuals and organizations. As a member of Her Tribal Roots Collective she has performed with Afrobeats artist Nanya (opening for Burnaboy), co-facilitated youth arts residencies and continues to investigate the intersections of the natural world, body, spirit, self, and community through land based arts practices. Since moving to Tkaronto in 2020, Orin has been immersed in creative exploration with KasheDance, choreographing for Cheyenne Sapphire, and launching her sensual embodiment classes LUSH FLUX.
