Shannon is a Warrior and wants to provide you with important knowledge to help you survive all
of the trials of life. She is a Baylor University graduate with a background in Communications.
She has been married to her husband, Troy, for 19 years and has learned a lot about safety
through being the wife of a Law Enforcement Officer. For the last 16 years, Shannon has been a stay
at home mom for her 2 boys, Dean and Jake. In September 2016, she was diagnosed with Breast
Cancer, fought though for a year with chemotherapy and 6 surgeries. Shannon is celebrating her
fourth year of remission! Shannon and Troy attended Route 91 Harvest concert in Las Vegas on
Oct 1, 2017. Suddenly and without warning, a gunman opened fire at the concert. Shannon and
Troy survived the Largest Mass Shooting in US history while helping others escape and
providing medical aid to them. Through this experience and her husband’s 25 years of police
training and experiences, they founded Active Shooter Prep. Their mission from that day forth
will be to provide knowledge, hope, and empowerment.

Our body's instinctual "fight-or-flight" response kicks in, initiating rapid changes to protect us from danger or help us avoid it altogether. While most individuals will naturally recover from the range of reactions following trauma, some may continue to struggle, leading to a diagnosis of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD can manifest in those who have undergone shocking, frightening, or hazardous events, reshaping the trajectory of their lives.
On this week's episode of the Shann Zeeman show, we welcome Linda Stanley, a retired Air Force Officer who served as a trauma nurse during her deployment to Iraq in 2006. Linda brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked in an emergency psychiatric clinic specializing in the assessment and treatment of PTSD. Currently, she serves as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at a residential treatment facility dedicated to aiding Veterans, particularly those returning from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, on their path to recovery. I have had the honor of being married to my best friend and amazing police officer for almost 20 years, Troy Zeeman. Through Troy’s 25-year career in Law Enforcement, I have seen the ups and downs of this job through his eyes.
