27 DIC. 2022 · Harmful algal blooms have been impacting the Western Lake Erie Basin for years and, based on rain, sun, wind, temperatures and other factors, no two years are the same. Over the past year, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has started to develop what’s called a TMDL for the Maumee River Watershed to address algal blooms and the sources of nutrients that attribute to those blooms. 20 DIC. 2022 · Ohio Farm Bureau members celebrated “Our Legacy, Our Future” as the organization held its 104th annual meeting earlier this month in Columbus. Nearly 370 delegates from all 88 Ohio counties established the organization’s policy goals for the coming year, recognized county Farm Bureau and individual achievements and honored industry leaders. On the next Our Ohio Weekly, we will recap this year’s annual meeting of Ohio’s largest farm organization.
