The Power of Sharing Stories

  • Significant life lessons with Amy Karaman

1 JUN. 2022 · Amy Karaman Shakhlo, a founder and CEO of EWoman, a digital judgment free platform supporting women through all walks of line. In our interview with Ms. Karaman Shakhlo shares about her personal journey to self realization: escaping a forced marriage at the age of 18 and building her life in the United States ground up. As a young woman, Shakhlo feared to become a statistic where she gives into the societal pressure to become an obedient daughter and marry a man she never met, so she was struggling between taking her life and escaping the place she called her home for the first 18 years of her life. She was taught against the common stereotype of women being nothing more than wives and housemaids; they are human beings with dreams and passions. As her life advanced, she aimed to discover her own passions and focus on her happiness. You can read Ms. Karaman Shakhlo’s story towards success on our website and in the post above! Make sure to leave your encouraging words in the comments section below! WCA team has the utmost respect for Ms. Amy Karaman Shakhlo for her bravery and resilience. We hope her story and accomplishments inspire and encourage you to remain true to yourself and your life goals!

Womxn of Central Asia is a platform aiming to create a strong community dedicated to highlighting the accomplishments and experiences of women from Central Asia. By spotlighting successful women, we aim to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams and ignite a beam of hope in their journey. We are also dedicated to providing information and resources for Central Asian women to utilize in their careers and personal lives. We aspire to create an open platform for women and girls to consider a safe space to proudly share their success and experiences

One goal of our platform is to share various success stories of central Asian women. We want to celebrate the successes that these women achieve and to recognize the effort that these women put in to improve their lives. We hope that through complimenting and appreciating the commitment of these awe-inspiring women, we are encouraging them to continue their hard work.

We also recognize the cultural norms that may pose barriers to achieving young girls’ futures. Womxn of Central Asia is committed to sharing your experiences that are socially silenced. By sharing these stories, we hope to spark discussions in our communities and reevaluate our values in our homes.
