This channel is a collection of voice recordings that capture little slices of my life here in Victoria. Most often, I’m out on the running trails, sharing the sounds and stories I encounter along the way, but sometimes the recordings wander into other moments too. Each episode is usually trimmed down from longer sessions, keeping things focused and under an hour so it’s easy to listen to. I like to think of it as a mix of running journal, local atmosphere, and personal reflection. I hope you enjoy the show and come along with me for the journey.

Today’s mission is 40 minutes, slowly building the distance while dodging dogs, crossing roads, and keeping an eye out for the Rail Runner.

We followed an old familiar route along Lochside and back on Resthaven, enjoying the tranquil scenery and keeping our pace in Zone 1. It felt great to be running together again. We chatted about various topics, including Derick's upcoming interview at McDonald's and reminiscing about past running advice, like walking the first kilometer to warm up. We discussed how modifying one's diet and increasing activity could improve health. As we passed familiar spots and people, we shared memories of past encounters and talked about upcoming plans. My mind wandered to work—how I’ve been helping Todd with kitchen cleanup and hoping Rob recovers soon since covering his shifts has been tiring. The cold air fogged up my glasses, and with my lingering congestion, every breath felt like trying to power a car with a clogged air filter. By the time I reached work, I’d earned my 300 calories, snapped a few photos of the beautiful sunrise, and decided to name this ride Geese over the Goose.
