11 NOV. 2024 · Don's life was radically changed after accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This newfound faith led him to overcome addiction, find purpose, and dedicate his life to serving others. Despite facing adversity, Don experienced God's provision in his life. From surviving the Vietnam War to overcoming financial challenges, God's hand was evident in his journey. Don's passion for sharing the gospel led him to engage in various forms of outreach, including door-to-door evangelism, nursing home ministry, and starting a home church. Even in his later years, Don continues to impact lives through his witness and his commitment to sharing the love of Christ. Don's story is an inspiration to all who seek to live a life of faith and meaning. His unwavering dedication to sharing the gospel, even in the midst of hardship, is a powerful example for us all.
30 OCT. 2024 · Episode 17 is an inspiring story of resilience and faith. It's a testament to the human spirit and the transformative power of God's grace. Chelsea Derouen shares her journey from a seemingly privileged upbringing to facing adversity and ultimately finding her calling. It is a poignant reminder that challenges can be catalysts for growth. Her experiences with domestic abuse and single parenthood could have easily derailed her life, but her unwavering faith and determination allowed her to overcome these obstacles. The support Chelsea received from loved ones and the Texas Baptist Children's Home played a crucial role in her recovery, spiritual growth, and sense of purpose. She decided to pursue a career in social work out of a desire to help others who have experienced similar hardships. Chelsea’s story can inspire others to find hope and healing, even in the darkest of times.
16 OCT. 2024 · Gerrianne Gabler shares her journey of redemption and hope. Her experience of sexual molestation and exposure to abusive relationships deeply shaped her self-esteem and worldview. She turned to promiscuity and unhealthy marriages in a desperate attempt to fill the void. Her acceptance of Jesus at 25 marked a turning point, leading to a path of healing and spiritual growth. Gerrianne’s ability to forgive herself and others was instrumental in her transformation. When faced with an unplanned pregnancy, she made the difficult decision to give her child up for adoption. She earned her degree in social work and used her experiences to help others in the field of adoption and foster care. Today, Gerrianne continues to serve as a board member with Texas Alliance for Life. Her story teaches us that we can find wholeness in Jesus and purpose in our struggles. I found it truly inspiring, and I pray you do too!
30 SEP. 2024 · Jacob Bowker shares his journey of how God has always shown up for him in the darkest times. After going through a divorce and putting his son in a mental health hospital, Jacob reached out to God in his most broken moment. God began to shift the trajectory of Jacob’s life by teaching him how to love through forgiveness and breaking down the walls built up around his heart. Once he allowed God to heal him on the inside, everything began to change on the outside. God took his experience with an alcoholic parent and drug addicted son and used used it for His glory. He has guided Jacob into ministry serving those who deal with substance abuse and mental health issues. Jacob didn’t feel qualified, but He kept asking the Lord to use him, and God miraculously equipped him with everything he would need. He proved himself to Jacob time and time again that He was real. Jacob’s story is a testimony that no matter what you have been through, no matter how broken you are, God can turn your life around and use your experience for His greater glory! Jacob is the founder of Story Ministry and has written over a dozen books in an effort to help others find healing and transformation.
18 SEP. 2024 · Missy gives a beautiful testimony of clinging to God’s goodness in the midst of hard times. She shares her experience of teenage trauma, welcoming Jesus into her heart, walking alongside a recovering addict, and enduring the loss of children. Missy’s perspective on life, loss, and loving others is truly inspiring. This is definitely one of the most moving testimonies I’ve ever heard, and I pray it blesses you too!
10 SEP. 2024 · Dani Adams was raised in a very religious, denominational church. She knew about God, but didn’t know she could know Him personally. At a young age, she went through trauma and abuse, which led to depression, self-esteem issues, and thoughts of wanting to die. When Dani was 17, Dani had a radical encounter with God’s love in the middle of trying to end her life, and things started to change for the better. She discovered she didn’t have to earn His love, that it is freely given. We engaged in a fun discussion about how God has moved in her life ever since. He called Dani to take a leap of faith and move across the country with her son three years ago. We also talked about how she’s worked through unhealthy eating habits, overcome cycles of abuse, and walked in trust through her season of singleness. Dani shared she discovered true love and intimacy with Jesus, and she stresses the importance of resting the identity that He has for us. I am so thankful for her experience and wisdom. I pray you are blessed by her testimony!
2 SEP. 2024 · Kyle Bertels grew up without a father in a traumatic childhood. This filled him with so much anger, hatred and bitterness that he held onto for so long. Throughout his journey, he dealt with drug addiction and severe depression while trying to make sense of the world. When Kyle met Jesus, the amount of healing, forgiveness, and freedom that he experienced was miraculous. God healed his father wound and revealed his true identity as a son of the Heavenly Father. Now, Kyle is able to show up for his kids in a way that was never modeled for him. His story teaches us that we don’t have to let generational trauma continue to dictate our present reality. When we give our lives to Jesus, we receive the healing power that Jesus died for. God has done an incredible work in Kyle’s life, and I pray you are blessed by it!

Neesha Ponciano was raised in the church by a worship leader. Things started to fall apart when her dad cheated on her mom and her parents split up. She started hanging out with the wrong crowd, got into drugs, and things quickly spiraled downward after that leading to partying, abusive relationships, and single motherhood. It was then that Neesha endured the most horrific nightmare, and became a helpless victim to unspeakable torture and abuse. But even in her darkest hour, God was with her through it all. After escaping the deeply traumatic situation, Neesha struggled to process what she experienced and tried to commit suicide nine times. BUT GOD had other plans, and He wasn’t done with her yet. The road to recovery wasn’t easy, but God has brought MIRACULOUS healing to her mind! Neesha was one of those addicts that everyone had lost hope for, but now she is completely sober and has more than she ever prayed for! Her life is living proof of the miraculous, healing power of God. In Neesha’s story, we find complete hope that NO MATTER WHAT we have been through, no matter how low we have been, no matter how much trauma we have suffered… we can recover, we can heal, and we can be made NEW through Jesus!! The testimony is incredibly powerful and inspiring, and I pray you are blessed by it!

19 AGO. 2024 · Jenna Bertels was raised in a loving home, but as she grew up she had this feeling that something was missing. She wanted to feel complete and whole. She felt lost and didn’t know if she had a purpose in life. Jenna started questioning why she was here on earth. Was there anything that she could do in life that was beyond her and bigger? When a friend invited her to youth camp, Jenna had an encounter with God’s love that changed her life forever. She continued to press into His guidance, and say yes to wherever He would lead. Jesus has now given her life meaning, purpose, and a place to belong. Jenna’s story is truly inspiring in a world where we think our identity has to be achieved rather than received. Her story teaches us that we only need God’s acceptance and approval in our lives. Jenna's testimony was such a blessing to me, and I pray it blesses you too!
12 AGO. 2024 · Gretchen Courting shares her journey of recovery after over a decade of active addiction. She dabbled in many substances, but her drug of choice was heroin. Alcoholics Anonymous helped her get sober 12 years ago, but today Jesus helps her stay sober. We engaged in a fun discussion about how recovery looks different for everyone, including the pros and cons of AA, and how we choose to identify in sobriety today. Gretchen talks about how she found the right church community and its blessings upon her family. She also gets into how faith played a part in the decision to homeschool her kids. I love Gretchen’s openness and willingness to share her story as much as possible in the hopes of helping someone. I really enjoyed our conversation, and I pray that you are blessed by it!
