Really knowing that something painful will pass, deep in the very pores of your being, embracing this and taking it to heart, can profoundly change the way you experience difficult situations.
23 JUN. 2022 · Story Essence: We can see in the story of Nelson Mandela that, if we have a why to live for, we can go through almost any circumstance that doesn’t kill us. Madiba is an example to all of us that no matter how hard things are, we can always find ways to create meaning and hope.
23 JUN. 2022 · Story Essence: Viktor Frankl says life questions us about our meaning, which we can only know moment by moment as we are challenged by life. We are expected to respond responsibly to this challenge from life. We are required to answer the call.

Being harsh and demanding of ourselves makes life even more difficult than it already is. Instead, by freeing ourselves of the full responsibility that we often carry all too easily, we can give ourselves this essential kindness, a compassion for our own human frailty.
