  • Reality TV to Reality Bites...What the Hell?!

    12 MAY. 2024 · In this episode of W.W.A.A. Podcast the host Kristy Mickelsen talks with her special guest Ex-reality tv star Erica Vandemark Russell. Kristy and Erica discuss the 2012 reality tv show The Glass House and Ericas time on the show and winning second place.  But the main conversation between the two ladies was about Discovering Erica had Autoimmune Encephalitis and how tricky it was to diagnose. Kristy and Erica discover that even though Kristy has Lupus the two women actually have very similar symptoms and struggles, from extreme migraines, forgetfulness, trouble with urination, and the struggles of knowing there is something wrong with you but nobody seems to be listening including sometimes even loved ones or in Erica's case boyfriends.  This episode was very informative for the host and very touching to the guest as in the end message Erica tears up.  You can follow Kristy and Erica on Most social media platforms to learn more about these ladies.

Christina tells her experience of how she learned she had Kidney Cancer, what some of her symptoms were and some of what she had felt.  The host Kristy then shares a little about her experiences during her dads kidney cancer battle and some of the things that worry Kristy about her own health. Podcast, The host Kristy Mickelsen talks with her special guest Autism and Mental health Advocate Jim Irion about his diagnosis of Autism and some of the struggles and heartache he has endured from being diagnosed later in life.   Jim tells us not only about his personal experiences but also of the research he has conducted since diagnosis. Jim's story is one that touches the heart of the host Miss Kristy, since she has two young adult children with autism so everything that Jim talks about she has experienced with her own children. Greg talks with Kristy and Axel about how he got started in the business and how he developed his love for audio. Greg also shares how he feels about young kids in the industry who haven't paid their dues starting a podcast and not taking the job seriously. Kristy and Greg also talk about how being behind the mic can be very therapeutic in some ways, especially when you have dealt with depression or you have bottled up anger and emotions inside.  To complete the episode Greg leaves his personal thoughts and message with the listeners about what he wants everyone to know about him and his show, and that is to be the best you that you can possibly be.
